Luis Miquissone rejected Kaizer Chiefs in favor of Al Ahly

Luis Miquissone, a Mozambican international, has rejected down a move to Kaizer Chiefs in favor of a move to Al Ahly.

Miquissone is presently a member of Tanzanian heavyweights Simba SC, having joined them from UD Songo in Mozambique at the start of the year.

When Pitso Mosimane was at Mamelodi Sundowns at the beginning of 2018, he imported Miquissone into the country, but he was never used there.

After that, he was loaned out to Chippa United, where he only appeared in one game. Another loan move to Royal Eagles did not go well, and he was forced to return to UD Songo.

Mosimane raised another hand of interest with Miquissone's South African agency after he performed in both local leagues and the CAF Champions League with Simba.

After a club-to-club agreement was signed in principle between Simba and Ahly, it is understood that the parties are already in negotiations.

Miquissone's earnings are expected to double in Egypt, with his present monthly earnings in Tanzania already in the six figures when translated to South African Rands.

Al Ahly's president, Mahmoud El Khatib, has already made contact with Miquissone to show how highly he is regarded at the club.
