The drama unfolds as a man comes home 47 years after being sent to a neighborhood grocery to buy rice.

After being sent to the shop to buy rice for the family, James Mwaura vanished from his house 47 years ago, in 1974. He was 23 years old at the time. After 47 years, a Kenyan man who went missing after being ordered to buy rice at a local grocery store has been reunited with his family.

Mwaura, now 70, has returned home to Molo, Nakuru County, due to Facebook. Mwaura apparently became bewildered on his trip to the shops and ended himself in Nairobi, Kenya's capital, according to CitizenDigital.

However, he was short on cash and had no relatives to turn to after discovering that his brothers who remained in the city had also relocated. He subsequently caught a ride to Nyeri County's Naro Moru, where he began a new life and later married a woman he met there.
